About the Artists

Irma Pineda is the author of twelve books of bilingual Didxazá/Spanish poetry. From 2020 through 2022 she served as Vice President of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.

Wendy Call translated Irma Pineda’s In the Belly of Night and Other Poems and wrote the award-winning nonfiction book No Word for Welcome.
